It is a very sad time indeed, and John will be deeply missed by many people, particularly those in Willenhall who benefitted from his family and history groups there. He had a very generous nature and greatly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with everyone. Much of the content of the http://www.1605livinghistory.co.uk/ website (the content of which I have since transferred into Historic Coventry for safe-keeping) is due to John's hard work, and I was privileged to get to know him over the last few years. R.I.P. John, and warmest wishes to Margaret and all his family.

I was on local radio once with John and saw him 'in action' with the 1605 group at St Mary's. Am glad I got to meet him and find out more about the Baginton Fields Hostel site where I used to play as a kid but knew nothing of its history. R.I.P.
