I know its on the outskirts of Coventry, but does anyone know what the factory was on Watery Lane, near Keresley, its now new housing (well isn't everything). Its info for my son's school project, I'm after any info (quirky would be great) about any remnants of bunkers, anti tank blocks, and the like. I do know some sites, like gunning positions on Breach Oak Lane, anti tank blocks on Green End Lane, and at Devitts Green and Woodside near Arley. Many thanks for any info, its greatly appreciated.

Welcome to our forum Mrs H. I'm really not sure if this is the same "factory" to which you refer, but I found this on a popular search engine:- Keresley Works - Watery Lane

It's certainly the case that the Watery Lane works has now been replaced by a new housing development. However, I don't know whether this is the same site.

When I was a kid in Keresley End, I used to think that the words to, 'Have you seen the Muffin Man?' finished with, 'Who lives down Watery Lane' Big grin Well, it was a small place and my world revolved around it! I also thought that 'Pop goes the Weasel' was about the Golden Eagle at the bottom of our road! Cheers
