Hi all Wave Not so much to see last night, but the shower peaks tonight & tomorrow. It's the tail-wake from Comet Haley. I am late getting up this morning in consequence.

Morning all Wave We in Coventry have our own in house forum observatory, if our website manager will forgive my intrusion. Facebook link - may not work for non-Facebook folk. For those who cannot access the Facebook post, Rob & his family observation team have been observing Saturn, with its near edge on rings. This is what they are looking at.

Great photo of Saturn - well done Rob et al., hard to believe that we can see something that is 746 million miles away from us. Thumbs up

Hi All, Just in case you've missed it in the news - the Perseids meteor shower peaks this weekend (11th and 12th August 2018) (see Metro.co.uk). Thumbs up

Not only that, you're seeing it in the position it was at more than an hour ago, in that time it has moved 22,000 miles to the left assuming you are viewing it when it's closest to earth (or to the right if you're in the southern hemisphere).
