Here's a more recent "Then and Now" item - the former YMCA building facing Butts (pictured in 2013) and the new Sherbourne House student accommodation, opened last year and photographed yesterday

I'm not in Coventry very often these days, but as luck would have it, over the holiday I was driving down Albany Rd, intending to turn left, when the lights suddenly turned red and I had to wait a few minutes. I noticed that new building opposite the lights and thought "they must have put that building up very quickly - it seems to have suddenly appeared from nowhere". Blush

Shame to see it gone, I've still got the memories though! Oh my

Thank you Midland Red for your photos, Then and Now. I was born in Wyver Crescent, which can be reached via Anthony Way from Binley Road. When I was ten we moved to one of the houses shown in Momus Boulevard, just about the middle of that row of terraces. Edited by member, 14th Mar 2018 9:49 pm
