My nana is on this photo but I have no idea when, where or why it was taken. Does anyone recognise a face? Why is there just one poor man amongst all those women? Does the location ring any bells?

Morning Ballingham10, I would say sitting where he is, no wonder he has a smile on his face. Must be a posh do with the little cups and taken in the 60's by the look of the hair do's and short skirts. He could be a celebrity. Good luck with this one Ballingham. Thumbs up

Hi Ballingham The gent does not look so very poor, with his smile all over him. Who would not be smiling surrounded as he is. At least they are not talking "behind his back". Wave

The lady back row on the left standing also the two ladies sitting directly beneath her look familiar to me with the large room also the large tree s through the window outside could it be some where in Keresley or Keresley village or by or on the Tamworth Road as that is the where I lived through the sixties in Keresley. The Tamworth Road has large homes and large trees like this. The lady with the hat on looks familier to me too she and the gentleman look as they are the visitors as they are the only ones with coats on.

Yes Deanocity same thought here but I wasn't sure, I did also think Keresley Grange but I couldn't recall the plaster arching over the window when I used to go there to visit with my mum as a child.

I wonder if it's the last day at Coundon Court girls school before becoming a mixed school, think it was 1964-65, with some teachers

Just noticed this post and photo. I was at Coundon Court from 63 - 68 which was before it went co-ed. I am not sure if the boys arrived in Sept 68 or the following year. However I don't recognise any of the people in the photo and if it is some of the teachers Miss Foster the head is certainly not there. Also I am sure that all the rooms in the old house, where my form room was for 4 of my 5 years were wood panelled, with wooden pilisters going up to a cornice with engraved bosses of the initials of Mr Singer.
