I don't normally post obituaries but I thought I might record the death of someone most of us will never have heard about but most of us will have cause to thank. The pioneering computer scientist whose accomplishments included inventing the cut, copy and paste commands for computers has died. Bronx-born Lawrence 'Larry' Tesler died this week at the age of 74. After Ctrl Z, Ctrl C and Ctrl V are my most favourite commands.

You don’t think about people inventing these things. I would be lost without copy and paste !

Agreed Anne/Helen. Personally I like Ctrl F to search but then again I do like to search for things! I used to work with a Hungarian Lady named Edit - we always called her PF4...........(for those who know an IT joke!) Edited by member, 20th Feb 2020 11:40 am
