Checking on 192, that is Harold Brookes
Oh thank you for informing me. Then we still need to keep searching. This has been helpful thank you.

Something has just come back to my memory from my Stoke Park school-days.... our music teacher in the late 1970s was a Miss Brookes (or Brooks? not sure which), and it's possible that she'd have matched the age you mentioned. Is it possible that the lady with the photo was an ex-teacher? It might be a long shot, but if she was the former music teacher, someone at the school might be still in touch or have contact details.

Wow that’s remarkable Rob. I can’t remember if Hazel mentioned she used to be a teacher at Stoke Park School. However if you are correct, it does seem possible due to the age. Unfortunately many of the teachers I used to know have either retired or passed away since I was at school. I will have to ask my ex-English tutor from the community courses whether the Hazel Brookes we knew had once been a former music teacher at Stoke Park. We meet with other friends every week before Christmas and a week during the summer. I also can phone her or email her to ask her. I used to volunteer while Hazel attended her courses, before that I met Hazel as a fellow community student. I am still a volunteer for Adult Education. However other Adult Education tutors won’t know her as they either never met her at the time or others started after we lost contact with Hazel. But thank you for informing me of this revelation. I just wish I could remember more as I have a Mild Memory and Cognitive Difficulty and so much has happened in the last 12-13 years. All I remember is the photograph Hazel showed us as partly because my friends and I have discussed it over the years as it was so vivid. The other thing is the name of the photographer eludes me also. If we could find Hazel, or one of her relatives, and the photograph, we will find the name of the photographer. I only wish someone who knows Hazel, or her relatives, would come to the Stoke Local History Group or make themselves known on this site. As I stated before I am unable to ask my tutor friend for contact details due to privacy reasons. Plus since we have lost contact with Hazel she might not remember the details herself anyway. Thank you again for your help though. It would be amazing if Hazel was the music teacher you referred to.

If you can’t ask your tutor friend for contact details due to privacy reasons, you could simply ask if they have those details for them to make contact and ask Hazel to get in touch with you?

This is true, but as I also mentioned we have all lost contact with Hazel Brookes over the last 12-13 years. Plus my tutor friend and other colleagues probably won’t have or remember the contact details, so they are unable to contact her anyway. I’ve been spelling her surname with ‘es’ at the end, but I noticed when I typed it as - Brooks on 192 it came up with two possible candidates. I noticed Rob had put this spelling of the surname in brackets with a question mark. I thought, with the two results that came up, this variant of the surname might be the correct spelling.
