Does anyone remember living at Baginton Fields Hostel? My parents were able to live there early in their marriage as there were few places to rent after the war.

Never lived there myself but often visited members of family that lived there'. Harry and Nelly Stansfield Uncle and Danny and Rose Stansfield my Dads cousin, would have been 1952 to 1955. Remember the black lagged steam pipes around the complex which was for heating and water, also the communal showers.

Now you have mentioned the old steam pipes, this is where the Art College moved to after Wheatley st school. I left not long after they moved there because I had finished my apprentiship. Thumbs up

This is exciting! We lived next to the Stanfields,my mum and dad were great friends. Their names were Don and Frances Mainwaring. I remember they had a daughter, Rosemary and also a son. We moved to Radford from there and I think they went to live up north. It was a great place for kids to live and play.
