Happy Easter everyone. Just had a nice day at Kedleston Hall with my daughter in law and her mum as the rest of the family have deserted us to go to the Touring Car Championships at Donnington, including the granddaughters.

Hello Anne, Hi all Wave I have wanted for ages to try a lunchtime dinner at Decks, at the Ricoh. Trouble is it is always packed. So yesterday, I revealed my cunning plan. Since Decks was about the only business open at the Ricoh yesterday, using every ounce of stealth, Pam & I made our way & enjoyed a carvery lunch, totally free of crowds. Quite nice. The devious plan I mean, as well as the lunch. What a pip! Wave

Hi all, Hi pixrobin Wave No Decks today, but you never know what might crop up towards the middle of the week. After the wet & dismal start to the Easter break, the new week looks at least to be settled. Plenty of grass cutting stuff I expect. Wet weather does have its advantages. So starts the noisy season, of mowers, hovers, strimmers & so on. Our memories are so varied of Easter. I recall the traffic queues where the A30 joined the A303 near Honiton, when on our way to Cornwall. No M5 in those days (some say thank the Lord). A 250 mile journey in those days would take between 5 & 8 hours, whereas relatives came from near Truro, to a funeral recently, where they did the return trip in one day as if like falling off a log. So, whatever you are all up to, please enjoy. Cheers
