I've been looking at a 1911 census of my Coventry ancestors and the address given is Queens Street, Coundon, Coventry.
I cannot find this on any maps. Could the name have changed to Queens Road?

If the OP will email me with the ancestor's name I will check to see if I can find out for sure ![]() |

I’m not sure if this was either the November or April raids.
They were re-homed in Winchester Street and then another bomb took out a few houses at the top of the street at the junction with Canterbury Street.
Of course, nobody ever spoke about it ![]() |

I find it a fascinating site, found lots if interesting facts for my own tree but I like looking for information about other things. So many times I am looking for one thing and another interesting picture pops up. When you retire (I know it is a long time yet!) you might find time to have a look yourself. You can search on it for free though and get a few lines of an article. If you ever find anything and would like to see the full article let me know. |
