I've heard it suggested that maintenance or security department at the Council House might have keys to those gates. But if they can't help..... is your family any good at pole vaulting??? :-) |

I was very disappointed to see the condition it has been allowed to fall into. It looks to be in urgent need of some restoration work. ![]() |

Walking along Beaumont Crescent today, I noticed a fenced off section which contained a set of steps leading to a raised area, upon which stood a small, brick built building with a pitched roof.
There was no visible plaque and I've looked on Google maps, but can't find any information on it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks, Andy Andy |

I don't think the platform can be original as the early images just show it on a lumpy hillside. I suppose it may have been buried? Or maybe they built it when they levelled the area for building. |
