I found an old photo that I liked and didn't know anything about the location. There are some details on the forum (growing up in Hillfields), the Dutchman was explaining the history of the place, regarding burials and then I found a pub nearby called the 'Freehold Tavern/Freemason's Tavern. Anyhow, it's a snowy old scene of a location full of history that wouldn't go amiss in a Charles Dickens novel.

Imagine my horror when I next looked in on my stockpile of snow only to find a damp patch where the snow had once been! ![]() |

Result, a pathway of slush!! Sorry about this, but there were two snowmen in a field and one said "Can you smell carrots?" |

Definitely worth a try though, when he loved the stuff so much ![]() |
