My Windows 10 computer, which I am about giving up on in favour of an Apple, has an SSD drive for my programs.
Over the years this drive has got fuller and fuller although I was only running the same things as I always did. The red line had nearly reached the end.
I had a message from Microsoft a few days ago saying there was not enough space for the new upgrade. Roy had a real go at it yesterday and found some software that gave him more information about what was on there. He found a load of files in Appdataroamingadobecommonmedia cache files. These added up to 35GB which was a lot of my SSD drive.
Looking on the internet, these files can be deleted. They all appear to be a copy of things you do on Adobe. I have Photoshop. Apparently it is something that Adobe do but don't tell you about. Roy has deleted them and I have no problems.
Windows have updated the software although I am not happy about the way that has changed things so am glad I am getting away from it when I can get all my stuff on the new Mac.
Hope this helps somebody. |

I can't find a free Adobe reader now, they are making it web only.
Hi Heathite,
I know you've updated to say it's sorted now, but I've never been a fan of Adobe reader - it's a huge cumbersome programme and takes up a lot of space on your hard-drive, which has always puzzled me, as it's just a basic file reader! For the last few years I've always shunned Adobe and downloaded Sumatra PDF Reader instead. It's much quicker, free, and takes up a tiny fraction of the space.
Here's a link to download it for you or anyone interested.

Hi Heathite, I don't know if this is the best alternative but it's free so it's worth a try.
