To find out more about the machine I sent the photo to The Lawnmower Museum, and they say it is a Leyland MPO18 (1893), the company we know today as British Leyland

In 1901, in Main Street, there was a family of Foxon's but no Frank or Francis, maybe he 'lived in' somewhere as a gardener.
I did find a Joseph Foxon, 26 King William Street, Coventry. Did you knock that one down?
It would be great to find Frank, I'll keep having a look to finish the tale! |
