Here is an old photograph of what I presume should be around the Coventry area somewhere.
I've searched but can't find anything. With your local knowledge I was wondering if you might know of this place. It looks like this was taken around 1900.
Thanks. |

Gosh, that place is huge!
What indications do you have that it may be the Coventry area?

I wonder how many Forum members were born there like me, and have Meriden as the place of birth on their passports! If all else fails, read the instructions! |

I may have to see what it says in the 'Victoria History of Coventry'. Can anyone on here help? I was born there when it was the Hospital. ![]() ![]() |

I wasn't 100% if it was around Coventry, but some others are, so I presumed this was. I did find this, but like you say it didn't look quite right from this photograph.

Coincidence. My dad used to know Fred Kilpatrick who owned the place in the later 70's together with the Allesley Hotel. The BBC used The Royal Court as the setting for the nursing drama 'Angels'. |

Keresley hospital used to come under Meriden which didn't come under Coventry, if I recall right my brother born there had to go to Solihull for a copy of his birth certificate. |

I was in for a few days, and the nurses used to make me get up and go round the ward making the drinks - Horlicks, hot chocolate, tea - rather difficult to ask the patients what they wanted when I could only croak! But at least there was a lovely view of the gardens from the corridor, not just a heaving car park! |
