Was crossing the Kenilworth Road at the junction with the Kenpass and Fletchampstead Highways at the time. Had only just read about the car in the Observer colour supplement. It was so rare and exotic I didn't think I'd ever see one around here. It looked even more exotic in real life than anything I'd anticipated. It was incredibly futuristic for the period, like something out of a Gerry Anderson TV series. |
