Hi all Wave This was the sight reported by the Coventry Telegraph today - two cars and a house damaged, as well as two people in hospital. I'm posting this as I am very familiar with the area. A multi-poor-sighted junction, along with an industrial site, yet vehicles travel through the area at high speed. Over the years I have seen many RTAs here, so I avoid if possible if I can when driving. Google Map Google street view

Awful to see that Philip, but I am not so shocked as I used to be anymore. Even the Salvos cannot leave their collection bins outside. One couple were seen on camera taking goods out of the bins, filled up their car and then going back again, twice, for more. No such thing as trust out there no matter where you live. A sorry state indeed. Angry

Morning all Wave This hotel chain, awful review. There are three of these in the vicinity of Coventry. I had one bad experience a decade ago in one of them, but received a full refund & compensation, so I am all square regards their performance. They at least put it right for me, along with sixty guests. Wave Thumbs up

My wife & I stayed in the Britannia near Pool Meadow back in January this year (it used to be the upmarket De Vere back in the 1970's I think) whilst in the City for a family funeral. We were there for 3 nights on a room only basis. We had to use a separate room for a shower! We were given a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The reception staff needed some training in politeness although the Night Manager (who gave us the wine) was more diplomatic. I won't dwell on the other issues but needless to say I left a scathing report on 'TripAdvisor' and will not be back. I might add, we were previously there in 2001 and it was ok then.
