I've spotted what claims to be a Coventry photo of 1969 on the Delcampe website (a French-based auction site, which occasionally comes up with Coventry gems) - but I have to confess, I can't work out whereabouts in Coventry it is - if it is indeed actually Coventry! I even tried mirroring the image, just in case, but that only forces the traffic to drive/ride on the wrong side of the road! I'm starting to wonder if it really is here at all.

Question

That one doesn't ring any bells to me, Rob. The building near left looks a little bit like MH&W on Hales Street but obviously not that and rear left akin to some of the properties that were on White Street but I'm thinking it’s not Cov. Good shout with that website though, a strange place to find old Cov gems! Big grin

It's certainly not inner Coventry. Yes, the website has some interesting stuff that isn't on the eBay circuit. Thumbs up Thanks for the heads up.

Used Delcampe several times in the past, for odd cards which don’t appear on UK sites or eBay.

Hey, thank you Geoff - I would never have found that myself. Thumbs up We've been to Stratford a couple of times, but I didn't recognise that view.

Its probably because it pedestrianised now Rob so you can't drive past Bill's house anymore Big grin and more modern buildings have filled the gaps. Thumbs up Edited by member, 11th Dec 2020 11:17 am

R Davies watchmaker and jeweller I haven't copied this, I've just linked to it, so it will disappear eventually. Usual disclaimer that I have no connection to the sale of this item. But where is it of?

HNY everyone! Apols, been offline for a while for some downtime. One for Heathite, perhaps Helen and the directories? And to add another - I've an idea we've seen this one before but cannot recall what was the outcome. It's cropped up on FB - New Buildings/Palmer Lane?
