We are working on a major event for the Earlsdon Festival to celebrate their time with us & commemorate those from all sides who fell at Gallipoli which will take place on Sunday 26 April 2015. If anyone has any stories or tales about the Munsters that have been handed down please feel free to share. |

Obviously I am a bit short in the tooth, so don`t have a direct connection - just a wondering!
It was the mention of Chapelfields and rifle training.
I returned from evacuation in the winter of 1947, just in time to enjoy sledging along with loads of others on the lovely hill that ran down from Allesley Hall Drive - almost ending in the brook at the bottom (River Sherbourne?)
The fields close to the brook were known in the family as "The Rifle Fields"
Is it likely this is connected with your story? |
