Has anyone any pictures of the house at any point in its history particularly in the years it was a hotel.
Bill Aston was a director, as was Paul Anthony Fawkes, anyone know him, he lived in Poitiers Road or had an office there at no 52.
Information on this subject seems hard to come by. Question David Aston Historian of Astons Garages and Light Cars Coventry |

He was comfortable there going next door to the Hylands for his liquid sustenance. Unfortunatly at one time he became friendly with two men there who it seems gave him a mickey finn. He collapsed and was in hospital for a time. In 1980 he died whilst still at the Melford and unfortunately all his belonging were lost. My wife was left without any momentos of him. |
