Diana Clayton - Hob Barn Cottage, Canley

Hi all. I am trying to trace a family tree for my friend. She know nothing about her mother's side of the family except that her mother grew up in Coventry. She has obtained her mother's birth certificate and the mother's parents (Cyril and Mary Clayton) are listed as having lived at Hob Barn Cottage, Shultern Lane, Coventry. Cyril is listed as being a labourer. Along with various other avenues I have been trying to trace old photos/pictures or information about the cottage that they lived in. The date on the birth certificate is 1947, so I am looking for photos etc of that era. Any help, heresay, gossip or otherwise would be greatfully received. Many thanks

Hi tori Hob Barn Cottages were a pair. For a time my grandfather lived in the other one. Give me a couple of days and I'll write more fully on them. Pictures? Not certain I still have any, but looking for them will be more than a 2-day job

On Ancestry there is a Diana R Clayton married William L Weston in Birmingham in 1968.

Thank you for your help everyone. I have found her in real life - however she has lost contact with her family. I wondered if anyone went to school with her or her brothers in Canley in the 50s/60s

I would guess that Diana went to Sir Henry Parkes School for her primary education and there's a thread here for posts about that.
