Old sign posts

Does anyone know why the old sign posts around Meriden and this one opposite the Bear pub in Berkswell have been removed? I went over to the Bear pub last Tuesday and noticed they had gone. Sorry if this topic has been raised but can't find reference to it anywhere. Andy.

Hi Andy, I don't know when Google Maps last sent their car through Berkswell but that sign-post is still there on the current street-view. On the corner diagonally opposite the Bear Inn. It must have been removed fairly recently then. Maybe someone could give Warwickshire Council a ring and ask them?

My first thought was they have been stolen as they were only recently installed, my second thought was maybe they were installed as film props for some film or programme, whatever the reason it's a shame they have gone as they add character to the area. As for texting and looking at sat navs stuck on a car windows blind spot then I still hurt from the idiot that did not see me in her window's blind spot

Do you mean the "old style" signpost had only just been erected?

It looks as if it has been turned round anyway. The sign at the back seems to be taking you on an interesting ride through the woods.
