It just so happens that we are caravanning at Bishops Itchington next week so we have a good chance of seeing it. The Vulcan is a lovely plane to see flying. There is also a lecture at Gaydon on Saturday 27th about the history of the airfield and a tour including the control tower. |

The planes would take off in out direction from the top of the hill and when they flew over our house they were still so big you felt you reach up and touch them. Although they were very noisy nobody ever complained about them and we got to see them and many other planes at close quarters at the annual air show. ![]() |

Looking forward to seeing some pictures. ![]() |

BTW XL360 - the Midland Air Museum Vulcan is one of the only ones to have been give a name

It will be a shame when the only airworthy example is grounded.
I wonder how many know that many Vulcans were serviced and modified by Hawker Siddeley (BAe) at Bitteswell, just outside Lutterworth? |

Flying in over Bishops Itchington Church, then a brief display over Gaydon and fling off towards what I think must have been an impromptu display over Wellsbourne judging by the other excellent pictures posted.
