peterw All posts by this member | 1 of 11 Sun 20th Nov 2011 5:14am Total posts:43 Hello, one of my strong memories of my childhood, apart from the corporation buses, was Goodwins extra self raising flour, I was brought up in Perkins street as a young child and went to wheatley street school and I remember Goodwins vans were blue with their advertisement on the side I think they were Guy vans, I have been trying to find a photo of one even in the national magazine "Vintage Roadscene", but it seems as though those vans have gone forever with no photos anywhere to remember them.

After seeing the photo of the flower mill reminded me when we demolished it I was patrolling the pavement to stop people walking past and a piece of wood from the roof fell and I got hit in the mouth and snapped my 2 front teeth off. so I have dentures so how could I ever forget that place...![]() Milly rules |

Goodwin Foster Brown was a different company entirely and had ceased milling quite some time before Robbins & Powers. Alan |
