His name was Alfred Frederick Davis, known as Mark and he worked for Dunlop. He lived at Scotchill. I have been told that when the King visited on Saturday 16 November 1940, there is a photograph in existence of him meeting the King. I have searched the newspaper records and other publications and have been very unsuccessful. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other photographs that might be in existence.

My grandfather is the 3rd man from the back. Maybe your grandfather is in the picture. |

He is not in these photos and I have looked through the ones with the Heritage Centre in Coventry, in the archives the next issue of the paper is missing but I know they exist and were published in the paper Ben Davis |
