I guess they are not keeping up with inflation as a half-sovereign would now be worth at least a tenner. ![]() |

It was always a silver tanner that went in Xmas puddings at our house. and under the pillow when you lost a tooth. The tooth fairy left it. There was the 12 times table we used to sing at school. The alphabet was always sung too. Made it easier to remember. |
