Thanks all. I was admitted to hospital in the early hours of Saturday after a slight heart attack, and returned home yesterday following angioplasty. Not a pleasant experience as ones own mortality springs into view Oh my I've had my five tablets for breakfast - more later in the day Big grin

Sorry to hear your news MR. However you haven`t lost your touch - there you were twitting me on another thread as though nothing had happened. I know from 5 years or so ago, it`s not a pleasant experience, I thought I had indigestion and ended up with 3 stents; the surgeon wasn`t impressed with my diagnosis, he was very "sniffy" however he did relent a bit at my final visit for discharge. He said "You are not alone, I`ve had Professors of Medicine in here thinking they had indigestion". I met him subsequently when he was dealing with my wife`s final illnesses - I think he had a humour by-pass. I hope you make a good, full recovery, Do they have a heart foundation recovery service in your area? We had one here and I attended a class where we did a course of fairly light physical exercise and then after having been monitored and passed on after assessment to the local authority sports centre - free usage and help of a coach. So far it`s worked out well.

Thanks for all the kind messages, both here on the forum and via emails Wave Very much appreciated - I know I'm not the only member who's not 100% at the moment, either through illness, a long-term condition, or . . . . age Sad So I send similar good wishes to all forumites, in the hope that the weeks, months, years ahead are kind to you all Cheers Smile Smile Smile

Good to get out behind the wheel this morning, for a change of scenery - even though it was only to the chemist! Smile

Tomorrow brings a new experience - cardiac rehab at the Horton Hospital will see me in a gym for the first time since 1963 (I wonder if Keith McGawley will be taking us!) Wink
