It's been great looking at photos and looking through previous posts. I'm wondering if anyone can help please? We are celebrating our church anniversary at Meredith Road Baptist Church in October. Does anyone have any memories from being at the church? Did you live in the area when the church was built? The church moved here in 1950 after previously being at Gosford Street. The first building to be opened at Meredith Road was the church hall in January 1950 to which was added the Garlick room in December 1956. The new church building and Joseph Richards room were opened in October 1968. Were you in Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Junior Choir or Sunday school? I would be grateful of any photos or memories. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

I rather think Mrs Lilford was connected with the Coventry Sunday School Union and may have been President. She was also an officer in the Girls Life Brigade. They had a daughter Hilary and son Peter. They were well known in Stoke Congregational Church as Hilary attended there.

My parents have been members of the church since the early 70's. I have been there since the mid 70's (giving away my age now!).
Thanks Prof for the information on the Lillford family. Yes Mr Lillford was a deacon, we have been looking through the archives and have seen his name in meeting minutes. My Dad remembers him too.
Thanks, Helen.
