Mother was second of three daughters married there, all from 98 Stoney Stanton Rd. ln 1932 my christening at the same church was refused as the name Jerry was seemingly taboo. Jeremiah, Jeremy type names were acceptable but not Jerry as it was a nickname of a certain household appliance - l ask you! Needless to say the deed was solemnized at St Peter's, closer to home in Canterbury St. id:a41b13c224d9 |

By 1907 they had moved to Charterhouse Road,off Gulson Road, where my father and aunt (twins) were born in October.
