I sat on the seat, but didn't risk putting my weight on it. I don't think it would survive an attempt to move it.

Seems to be a bit of a pilgrimage to those that know about it. We did try to get the Council interested as per my earlier posts but they went silent when they realised costs would be involved. Same with the tram museum and The Herbert. If I win Lotto I'll buy it and stick it in the Transport Museum. It's beyond repair but still worth trying to preserve as is. |

In the second photo it looks like they had started demolishing the buildings that were to be replaced by the Prudential building.

that old tram, if you looked out of the trees wasn't it a field you would be looking at? was there any white railings? |
