The Salutation Inn on the London Road I thought was named as a 'Welcome to Coventry' to many a weary pedestrian and others. There was once a windmill on a knob of ground, and then called the hilly-hollow, (close to the cemetery gates) and which was common ground or open land. The road before the house on the corner of Brick Kiln Lane was at one time the Dog and Gun. |

He ran that initially then moved on to the Old Brook Tavern which became the Railway Hotel - then a break before taking on the Turks Head for several years.

Are there any photo's of Paradise School around? |
