We've just received ours, under the new system it appears you can put your food waste in either the blue or green bin, so it might as well just go straight in them Roll eyes , and although I knew they were going to change the collection to alternate weeks and one or two other "tweaks", I didn't realise they were going to change the collection day as well starting next week, so don't forget to look at the paperwork.

I cannot for the life of me understand why we are to go to the trouble of separating our food waste into a separate caddy, only to then have the option of chucking it in our green lidded bin - where we've been putting it for years!! Surely, we should be putting this in the brown lidded bin not the green (domestic waste) bin! Oh my

That was my thought as well Tony until I read the details. Most of our (limited) food waste goes on the compost heap anyway. However, the caddy may make a good paint kettle, so it may be useful after all.

Hi all Wave A convenient time to remind us all to put our clocks back one hour this weekend, which coincides with our annual garden tree & shrub cull. A garden designed for every season. The front with the Janet & John seat which is well used. Facing East, it becomes a morning sun-trap in Winter, where there can be frost, yet I can sit in comfort (with a woolly). Our gardens don't need to be part of a stately house to be enjoyed. Thank you Michael & Lynn. (JackofAllSpades).
