All I can find is they had a depot in Northampton and were taken over by R Whites and renamed to R White Lant in 1964. Apart from Cov Archives having some receipts for mineral water bottles, that’s it. What a shame for a prominent firm in Coventry established in 1830 to go so unnoticed. ![]() |

In 1950 they installed new American machinery in Bond Street. In 1962 as R White Lant they moved to new premises in Bodmin Road, Walsgrave.

Like in Long Itchington, in recent years a Chater's Orchard was built. Just over the road from the Buck and Bell, which Monty Chater ran for years. |
