The Coventry factory was set up in 1972 by Mr Noel Penny after he resigned as MD of Leyland Gas Turbines of Solihull in 1971. When he left he said he wanted to pursue his own ideas on the commercial application of gas turbine engines. He bought the 3.5 acre factory site in 1973. There are several other articles about his projects, Mick, was there anything specific you were looking for?

In the 80s we used to service some of his equipment and IIRC, we used to use some of his excess testing capacity. |

The one thing I did find that I liked was a go cart for sale with a Noel Penny Turbine for power. Wow, how fast would that go! ![]() |
