The cone on the left is on the tower of St Mary's and the cupola, in line with St Michael's, is on the hall part of the school. It threw me at first because they seem too far apart from each other. |

Helen F Warrington All posts by this member | 96 of 103 Fri 27th Mar 2020 12:50pm Moderator: Joined Mar 2013 Total posts:2456 The building on the left is the end of the Meal Hall, which seems to have run all the way from Cross Cheaping to the more open Bull Ring that appears on the 1749 Bradford Map but had gone by at least 1807. The image looks roughly west along Ironmonger Row from the Bull Ring. Palmer Lane is the opening on the right hand side of the road, just beyond the Pilgrims Rest.

I'm not 100% sure which of the two doors in the distance was the passageway to the court.
If you follow the gutter on the white painted building down, you get to the surviving building with its rounded corner. There is a new small building where Mr Morrel's terraced cottage was was. |
