It was a source of amazement to my family when she began performing in public in the late sixties or early seventies. I don't think I ever saw/heard her perform but I have a dim mental picture of her in a fringed waistcoat - perhaps she did Country and Western? Anyone else remember her? |

Like Jan I left Coronation Road in 1964, but I do remember once whilst visiting 'home' hearing someone in the house at the back of ours singing. She was a bit of a celebrity within the Irish community, playing country music in the Coventry area ie The Tree Tops in Foleshill Road. |

Her moment of fame was when she toured with Slim Whitman in the U.K. in the 60s. She recorded three of the old style L.P.s, which are still available on Ebay. Well worth a listen. |
