When I had English homework I always enjoyed the essays but always asked my mum to read them before handing them in at school and as soon as she said "the English she is spoke" I knew straight away she was saying to me, read it again. I presume she meant the Queen's English and was mocking me. I do try to curb my spelling but have made a few gaffs along the way, so I am sure we are all forgiving in each other's grammar. As Tricia says what we write lets our personalities shine through. So keep it coming folks, we still understand you. ![]() |
